Ednovax Prep — Educational App Promo
A short film for an exam-prep app. It follows a student from 'my exam is in three weeks' panic to walking into the exam hall feeling ready.
THE BRIEF
Ednovax Prep is a phone app that helps secondary school students in Nigeria get ready for JAMB (UTME), WAEC (WASSCE) and Post-UTME exams. It has real past questions, practice tests and an explanation for every answer.
The team wanted a short video for YouTube and social media. A student watching it should think 'that's me' within the first few seconds. It had to show the real app, explain what it does without feeling like a boring list of features, and end by telling people where to download it.
The video is about 80 seconds long and can be cut into shorter clips for Instagram and TikTok.
THE APPROACH
The video opens late at night with a student surrounded by piles of photocopied past questions, and the words 'UTME in 3 weeks.' Then her class WhatsApp group fills up with random PDFs. Every student knows that feeling.
Then the Ednovax logo appears, and the video changes from dark and messy to clean and bright. From there, each part answers one worry: 77,650 real past questions, building your own practice test, tests that feel like the real exam, studying offline when you have no data (shown on a Lagos bus), seeing why you got a question wrong, and Novara, the app's AI tutor, answering a question. Her score goes up, she walks into the exam hall, and the video ends with 'Practise the real thing.'
There's no voiceover. Short lines of text appear on screen one at a time, and the important word is always in orange so it stands out.
THE RESULT
A calm, confident video that explains the whole app in under 90 seconds and still makes sense with the sound off. Because each feature has its own short scene, it's easy to cut into 10 to 15-second clips for social media.
DELIVERABLES

✦ Director's note
“Students don't care about features. They care about feeling ready. So every feature in this video shows up as the answer to a worry the student already has.”
