The Unveiled Woman Conference 2025 — Promo
A one-minute promo for a women's conference in Lagos, moving from quiet struggle in black and white to hope, colour and a clear invitation.
THE BRIEF
The Unveiled Woman Conference is an annual event by The Unveiled Woman Empowerment Initiative (TUWEI) that brings women together to talk honestly about faith, family, work and personal growth. The 2025 theme was 'Beyond Limits', held on Sunday 25 May 2025 at The Civic Centre in Lagos.
The organisers needed a promo for social media that would make women feel seen before inviting them to attend. It had to introduce the theme and the speakers, give the date, time and venue clearly, and end with the registration link. The video is just under a minute long.
THE APPROACH
The promo opens in black and white, with close-ups of women's faces and quiet moments: worry, tiredness, a mother working late at her laptop with her child nearby. There's no narration at first, just the feeling.
Then the conference title appears in soft pink lettering on a deep magenta background, and the video slowly moves into colour. The theme lands in bold white letters, 'BEYOND LIMITS', and the scenes become warmer and more hopeful: a mother and son, women working together, someone laughing. A spinning globe leads into an aerial shot of Lagos, with the date, '1PM prompt' and 'The Civic Centre, Lagos' placed over the city. Each speaker gets her own framed card, then the video closes on a short conversation clip and the registration link.
The colours are the brand's magenta and pink throughout, with flower details and light rays to keep it soft and feminine without feeling sugary.
THE RESULT
An emotional promo the organisers could share across social media and WhatsApp. It speaks to women first and sells the event second, while still making the key details (date, time, venue, speakers and link) impossible to miss.
DELIVERABLES
- Event promo (59 seconds)
- Title and theme animation
- Speaker cards
- Date and venue graphics

✦ Director's note
“Starting in black and white was deliberate. The colour arrives with the theme, so the video itself goes 'beyond limits' the way the conference hopes the women will.”
